We could not find her anywhere. Several years ago, Conner and I took a quick look around the house but still could not find her. Upon further investigation, Conner noticed a small trail of crumbs that put us hot on the pursuit. We followed the trail until it led us to the maker of the trail...Kiana! Believe it or not, she left a trail for us to follow that led us to her destination.
Do you have a destination in life? If you are a Child of God, the correct answer would be that Christ is your destination.
Let me take this a step further...if you have your destination set, do you have a trail for others to follow?
What do I mean by that? Whether you would like to believe it or not, you have people that are following you. They may be smaller than you, they may be the same age as you and they may even be adults...but you have people hot on your trail. So where does your trail lead them?
Paul had a hot trail for others to follow. In 1 Corinthians 11:1 he says, "Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ."
Paul's destination was Christ. What is your destination in life?
Because Paul's destination was Christ, he could safely lead others with his trail because it led others to Christ.
What was Paul's trail? -- His life lived for Christ.
Is your life a trail that will lead others to Christ? If people follow your example, will they be led to Christ?
Sobering question...but one we all need to ask.
Every teen leaves a trail...but every trail does not lead to the right destination.
No matter how old you are, you have people following your trail - so lead them to the right destination!
It would be a wise thing for us all to think about our trail, before we create it.
Where does your trail lead?
