Psalm 121:1-3 I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills - From whence cometh my help? My help cometh from the LORD, Which made heaven and earth. He will not suffer thy foot to be moved; He that keepeth thee will not slumber.
Wow, what an amazing promise in Psalm 121!! Do you realize that the almighty God is ready anytime you are in need of Him? In fact, David points out that God never sleeps. Not once have your prayers woke God up from a nap, not once have you entered into a trial in life and God was not aware because He was taking a nap, not once have your prayers been unheard because God was asleep, He is always attentive to your needs.
Your God never forgets about you...on the other hand, we often forget about God through our busy schedule or through our own materialism.
Isn't it amazing that the God of the universe actually cares enough to help you? When you go through a rough time in life and it seems like no one else cares, remember that the Lord is not sleeping, but cares for you! If God can create Heaven and Earth, then He is more than capable to take care of your needs.
How often do we turn to material things or the dependence of another human being for help when our help is found in the Lord.
Question: Who/what do you turn to in your time of trouble? Do you realize that God is always available to you, and that He is never taking a break from caring for you? Has something else caused you to place your God on second priority?
