Is there anything that will not change on me?

On the road home from the office yesterday, I enjoyed looking around at the different colors the leaves have changed into. I love this change. The foliage of the autumn leaves brings on the feeling of the season change. Then I woke up this morning, and while the leaves still hung on the trees (most of them) in their radiant display of colors, they were overshadowed by the change in weather. As I stepped out of my door this morning, I was met with darkness, a cold blustery wind and the presence of rain. With the change in the weather from yesterday to today, I agree with the written words of Dr. Seuss, "I do not like them Sam-I-Am."

Things around us seem to change so rapidly. The weather changes, our friends change, our surroundings change, the government changes, our attitude changes, our trials change, our plans change and even we change. So many things are one thing one day and then the next they are totally different. Some change is good while other change leaves us frustrated and angry.

But there is one thing in this world that never changes. While everything else in the world may change and fall apart, there is one that never changes. He is our rock, He is our fortress, He is our protection, He is our way, our truth and our life, He is always good, He is always loving, He is always just, He is always gracious and He never changes these attributes.

Yes, I am talking about your God. While everything in your life seems like it is changing for the worse, look to a God that has never changed and will not start changing with you.
